Casting Notice for Six Monsters: A Seven-Monster Play

All Terrain Theater is casting a lead actor (Skeleton) and 3-4 ensemble actors for our mainstage production “Six Monsters: A Seven-Monster Play” by Savannah Reich and directed by Sydney Painter to be performed at The EXIT Theatre in San Francisco in July and August.

This is All Terrain Theater’s sixth season of producing original plays, and our first time producing work by Minneapolis-based Savannah Reich, a recent graduate of the Carnegie Mellon University Dramatic Writing MFA program and 2015 winner of the National Student Sloan Screenplay Competition, whose stage plays have been toured around the East Coast.

Skeleton (f, 20s-30s) – A woman outgoing enough to gather an apartment-building full of people for a talk, yet she lacks interpersonal confidence. She has a taste for NyQuil and a tendency to get caught up in awkward social situations.

Ensemble (m/f, all ages) – Ability to play multiple one-off roles, good with physical humor. Ensemble actors may be invited to perform in an additional short play that will be paired with “Six Monsters.”

Performances at The Exit (all 8pm):
Fri, July 31
Sat, Aug 1
Fri, Aug 7
Sat, Aug 8
Fri, Aug 14
Sat, Aug 15

Actors will receive a small travel stipend as well as a performance stipend.

Please note: our rehearsals may be held in Berkeley at a private residence that has cats and a dog. Rehearsals begin in June.

Actors must be non-Equity.

Please email your resume and headshot to Maria Fe Picar at maria as well as preferred times for your audition. Auditions are Monday, June 1 at the Firehouse Art Collective in Berkeley (3140 Martin Luther King Way, across the street from Ashby BART). Audition slots will be scheduled between 6:15pm-10pm.
